Amanda Fursetzer

Mrs. Fursetzer is an innovative 6th grade history teacher who brings the past to life in a way that feels meaningful and exciting for her students. She designs lessons that go far beyond textbooks, creating hands-on, interactive experiences that connect ancient history to the modern world. Whether students are trading goods in a classroom “marketplace” to understand Mesopotamian economics or debating laws as if they were part of the Roman Senate, they are constantly encouraged to think critically and collaborate with one another. Her classroom is a space where curiosity is celebrated and students are challenged to ask questions, explore multiple perspectives, and draw connections between ancient civilizations and current global issues.
