Marjorie Jiron

HS Spanish Teacher

As a Spanish teacher in a globalized community, my greatest joy—and the heart of my work—is my students. They are the reason I continue teaching. Every day, they inspire me to grow not only as an educator, but as a person. In a diverse and interconnected world, I aim to help students see language as more than communication—it is a powerful tool for understanding others, expressing identity, and building global connections. One of my favorite aspects of teaching is witnessing students bring cultural concepts to life through creative projects and activities. Their enthusiasm when applying what they’ve learned to real-life situations reminds me why this work matters. Over the years at NBPS, I’ve been fortunate to teach across all three divisions, building lasting memories with students and colleagues alike. I believe teachers are role models, and I’m motivated daily by the responsibility to guide future generations with authenticity, kindness, and compassion. To all my students and fellow Eagles: remember we are all ONE. Be kind, be creative, and above all, be true to yourself. Respect others, nurture your talents, and chase your dreams with faith and gratitude. Teaching Spanish is more than a profession—it’s my passion and purpose in this globalized world.
