Parent Teacher Group: 14 November 2016

14 November 2016

I can’t believe that it is already mid-November.  Time is really flying by and before we know it we will be breaking up for the Christmas holidays.  So much will be happening before then and the PTG is happy to help promote the school’s activities as much as possible.

Amy Bonehill, the School Counsellor, is organising several very interesting parent talks:

  • Next Monday, 21 November 2016 at 08.00 a.m. in the Exam Room on the top floor of the R Building (KS2/Library) building, there will be a talk entitled “Media Literate or Media Dependent?”  This talk is aimed at parents of children from Year 2 upwards but I am sure will be of interest to other parents as well.
  • The following week, on Monday 28 November 2016, there will be a talk entitled “Positive Screen Time: How much is too much?”.  This talk is aimed at parents of our youngest students – those under Year 2.  This talk will be held in the Early Years building.
  • On Wednesday, 7 December 2016 at 08.00 a.m. in the Exam Room there will be a talk entitled “Raising Girls” and on Thursday, 8 December, again at 08.00 a.m. in the Exam will there will be a talk entitled “Raising Boys”.  While these talks are aimed at parents of students from Year 5 to about Year 8 or 9, I am sure parents with children of other ages will be interested and everyone is welcome.

If you would like to come to any of these talks, please let Amy Bonehill know so that school can cater for the correct number of people.

Please do get in touch with the PTG Committee if you need help in any way or if you have concerns or suggestions.

Thank you.
