Head's Lines: 23 January 2017

23 January 2017

Find out where our High School students will be for the next few days as part of their Residential Week. Also, more information about our fun-filled Community Day on 4th February, and a notice about the Nord Anglia Education Parent Survey.

  • Community Day

Another action-packed week has flown by, and I have just returned from a successful trip to London to attend the annual Nord Anglia Education recruitment fair. This morning we waved goodbye to most of our High School students and teachers as they headed off on Residential trips around Thailand - I wish them all an enjoyable and rewarding week.  Also, good luck to the Year 11 and Year 13 students who are sitting their mock examinations this week.

Residentials Week

This week all the High School year groups, apart from Year 11 and Year 13, will go on their annual Residential Trips. These are great events and really allow our young people to get to know one another as well as work hard in a residential setting on a whole range of challenges, both physical and mental. The different year groups are going to the following places:

Year 7 – Khao Yai National Park

Year 8 – Pranburi, Huahin

Year 9 – Kanchanaburi

Year 10 – Chiang Mai

Year 12 – Mae Rim, Chiang Mai

Community Day: Saturday 4th February

There are just two weeks until we hold our Community (fun) Day on Saturday 4th February.  There has been lots of activity at school with our PTG working hard with several members of the school administration to get everything prepared.

This will be the last Community Day as a single campus and it will be a great day for the whole family! There will be lots of rides and activities as well as plenty of food to choose from. There will be some great shopping opportunities as well. On top of all that there are fabulous raffle prizes to be won and raffle tickets were sent home with students last Friday.

The day will start at 11.00 am with the raffle being called around 5.00 pm, so there will be plenty of time to have fun with your family.

You are now able to buy your entrance ticket (which is a wristband) from the school Accounts Office. They come in two colours: black and white. The white wristband costs 100 baht and is for entrance only. The black wristband costs 500 baht and includes open-access to all the rides and means those with this wristband can enjoy the rides over and over again!

I am really looking forward to a fantastic day and hope to see you and your family enjoying this event.

Nord Anglia Education Parent Survey - Coming Soon

Every year, Nord Anglia Education sends out a survey to allow parents to give feedback on the school their children attend. This will be going live within the next few weeks. Please check next week’s newsletter for more information regarding the survey.
