PTG: Christmas is coming and there’s lots to do

Find out how you can kick off the festive season and help to decorate the Primary School for Christmas as well as everything you need to know about the Christmas Fairs at both Primary School and High School.

Dear Parents,

Christmas is nearly upon us, believe it or not, and we are galloping towards the end of Term 1.

Excitement is building and there are lots of things happening between now and the end of term.

First off, we will be decorating Christmas trees in Primary School on Friday this week. We are looking for volunteers and if you can help, please meet in front of the Office at 08.00 a.m. We have six trees to put up around the campus as well as other decorations.

The Christmas Fair and concert will be taking place in Primary on Wednesday, 13 December and at High School on Thursday, 14 December. Both Christmas Fairs start at 2.30 and run until after the music concerts. The PTG has invited a variety of vendors selling great Christmas gifts as well as lots of different food for you to sample. At the Primary Fair, Year 6 students will be organizing some games to raise money for charity and at the High School Fair, fund-raising games are being organized by senior students as part of their IB-related CAS activities.

It was great to see so many people at the PTG meeting that was held at High School on Wednesday of last week. Mr. Keith gave a very interesting presentation on the BYOD initiative (Bring Your Own Device) and parents asked a wide range of interesting questions. The next meeting of the PTG will be held in Primary in Term 2. Further information will follow.

The PTG Facebook page has been up and running for over a week now and is a great way for us to let everyone know what is happening in our school community and for parents to connect with one another.

The PTG Committee is looking forward to an exciting end of term.

Thank you.
