Music: Year 4 students light up our day

Using various traditional Thai instruments our talented Year 4 students entertained our community with a special Loy Krathong performance.

Primary School Music

Last week some of our Year 4 students share their classwork on Thai Music in a special Loy Krathong performance. They performed on a range of Thai instruments, including klui, klong khek, angkalong and ching. The melody and bass lines were performed on our school xylophones and glockenspiels.

The children did a wonderful jobs of listening to each other, following the conductor and keeping their own parts going throughout. Well done Year 4!

High School Music

Patana Strings Festival

music music

On Friday and Saturday of last week, 12 St Andrews High School students attended the annual Patana Strings Festival. This was a great opportunity for these students play in an incredibly large orchestra of 164 made of students from 6 schools! They rehearsed and played 6 pieces of music to a very high standard and performed a concert to parents, friends and family on Saturday afternoon. Thank you to all the students that took part and made this such a memorable event.
