Key Stage 2: Hurry Christmas, don’t be late!

KS2 Christmas Concerts are on Wednesday… Read on to find out how Y5 & Y6 children were spreading Christmas cheer at the Marriott...Take advantage of the KS2 Christmas Postal Service at St Andrews International School Bangkok.

It’s hard to believe that our 16-week term is coming to an end. It’s been a long one, filled with new friendships, terrific topics, special events and getting to spread out and grow into our Primary only campus. I hope you’ve all had a great 1st term and have a restful, family filled holiday wherever in the world you are going. I look forward to seeing you all after the break for an amazing 2018.

Mr Geoff

KS2 Christmas Concerts

Don’t forget it’s the turn of KS2 to get Christmassy on Wednesday with the Y3&4 concert at 1.30 pm in the Sports Hall and the Y5&6 performing at 4 pm. In between the concert there will be a Christmas Fair in which you can grab some stocking fillers from the outside vendors in the small quad, have some festive food in the canteen or have a go at the games and activities organised by the Y6 students in the quad. The Y6 stalls will be 20 baht a go - please try and bring some change.

There will be a shuttle bus service from the Max Valu car park starting from 4 pm and running until 6 pm. If you park at Max Valu make sure you get a school stamp on your ticket.

Christmas at the Marriott

Last Wednesday, our STA Sing choir made up of girls from Years 5 & 6 were invited along to perform at ceremony for the switching on of the Christmas lights at the Marriott Sukhumvit hotel. The hotel kindly provided a children’s buffet for the girls before they sang. They did a great job performing a number of Christmas classics on the steps in the foyer of the hotel to an audience of parents, hotel staff and guests, helping everyone get into the Christmas spirit.

by the Key Stage Two Student Council

The Key Stage Two Student Council will be running a Christmas Postal Service this year. The post box will be in the library until the 14 December. They plan to make deliveries each day and the school councillors will be the post boys and girls.

It’s not too late to bring in your Christmas Boxes which will be delivered to the Bangkok Refugee centre at the end of the week.

The boxes could include: small toys, toiletries, books, underwear, etc. When you have filled and wrapped your box, please make sure it is clearly labelled. The label should include who it’s for- boy or girl- and which age group the box is suitable for. Boxes can be left under the Christmas tree in the school office from Monday 4th December.
