Welcome back to the second half of Term 2.  From the busy chatter on the playground this morning it would seem that the children have got a lot to talk to their friends about, and have hopefully also had a good rest.

The final week of last half term was filled with events that gave the children a chance to show off their self-confidence and creative talents.

Both Y1J and Y1F invited parents to see their Fashion Show Routines, with Reception playing to a packed audience on Friday.  Some parents had a double treat that day as Y2 also showed off their talents in their Year Group Assembly. They reminded us that we are all Superheroes - even if we are still searching for our Superhero talent.

Book Week is coming…. 21st-24th March

I have been going through my stock of Book Week costumes this week, wondering which one to wear...but of course like every year will decide at the last minute that I want something new.  We have a couple of themes running this year. Roald Dahl will be a popular author this year as we help celebrate his centenary, but for Early Years Eric Carle will be a popular choice with his bright and colourful characters. The week will be full of activities and there will be prizes for the best costumes at the  Book Character Parade on Friday 24th March. The judges love the homemade costumes best, especially the ones where the children have lent a helping hand!
