It’s Week 2 of Term 3, and already very busy, with IGCSE and IB Exams, four Year 7 students and Mr Rich H in Boston for the Nord Anglia Education STEAMFest at MIT and Donovan Christopher, a visiting poet, working with students today and tomorrow. We also have our annual Week Without, with students, parents and teachers in KS2-5 being asked to give up a luxury for the week to raise funds and awareness for those less fortunate.
After last week’s Year 10 Parent/Student/Teachers Meetings, this week we have the Year 12 Parent/Student/Teachers Meetings tomorrow - parents of students in Year 12 should have received more information from Mr Simon.
Leavers Survey
As we prepare to move to our new High School Campus, we are processing a very large number of applications from parents who would like their sons and daughters to join St Andrews at the beginning of next academic year.
As part of this process, we need confirmation from you that your son(s)/daughter(s) will still be a student at St Andrews next academic year.
If you have already responded to the Leavers Survey, and have let us know your plans, there is no need to do anything else, but if you have not yet confirmed your places, please do so as soon as possible using this Google Form.
Once we have this confirmation we can then add your son(s)/daughter(s) to next year's Tutor Groups lists in readiness for August.
Annual NAE Parents Survey
Earlier this year you were all invited to complete the annual Nord Anglia Education Parents Survey. The results from this have been shared with the St Andrews Senior Leadership Team, and we have worked together to pull out these highlights and points for development. This data has been split into Primary and High School results, and the High School highlights and key areas for development are shown below.
We are very pleased that:
98% of High School parents think that your child is happy at school
98% of High School parents think that your child feels safe at school
97% of High School parents think that the school keeps me informed about general school updates
95% of High School parents think that your child receives a high quality education from the school
94% of High School parents think that your child is developing confidence at school.
94% of High School parents think that your child is developing their social skills at school.
93% of High School parents think that your child is making good progress at school
93% of High School parents think that the school provides a stimulating learning environment for your child
92% of High School parents think that your child has the opportunity to participate in a wide range of trips and visits.
92% of High School parents think that your child is developing independence at school.
There are three main areas for development, which are the same as those identified by Primary parents. These will be discussed in future PTG meetings to allow us all to work together to continue the development of STA and ensure that a continued outstanding experience is provided for our whole community.
-
Satisfaction with the bus service
-
Satisfaction with school meals
-
Satisfaction with school’s contact regarding children’s successes outside of academic progress
Finally, a reminder that, although Friday is no longer a National holiday, the school will still be closed, as well as on the following Wednesday, for Visakha Bucha Day.
