We race into Week 4, and the traditional end-of-school-year events are starting to appear on my High School Calendar for the next few weeks below, as well as some new events happening for the first time this year:

  • This week is our final High School Production in the Drama Studio, and the Drama Studio has been transformed for this week’s performances of Little Shop of Horrors (you can see a sneak preview in the photos above). The Wednesday and Thursday shows are already sold out but, as I write, there are some tickets left in the School Office for Tuesday’s performance.

  • Year 13’s IB Exams end this week and, after a week for the students to recover, the Graduation of the Class of 2017 takes place at the Bangkok Marriott Hotel Sukhumvit on Saturday 27th May.

  • The following week, in the last week before half-term, it is Year 10 and 12 students’ time to sit their exams and our first ever Key Stage 3 Project Week, when all Key Stage 3 students will be off-timetable, instead working on one of fourteen different projects.

  • The last day before half-term, as well as being the last day of Year 10 and 12 Exam and Key Stage 3 Project Week, is a Black and White Non-Uniform Day for Khlong Toei.

  • The following weekend is both our first ever STA Community Sports Day and this year’s High School Prom, as usual organized by Year 12 students, with the theme this year a La La Land-inspired City of Stars. This year’s Prom is being held at the Pullman Bangkok Grande Sukhumvit. Tickets will go on sale to students in Years 10-13 soon, for 1250 baht. Please see the STA PROM 2017: City of Stars Facebook page for more information:

As you can see from the calendar below, there are many more events also happening over the next few weeks - I look forward to seeing many of you at some of these events.
