Congratulations to the Graduating Class of 2017

The graduation ceremony held on Saturday proved to be a memorable occasion for the wonderful young adults making up St. Andrews International School’s Class of 2017.  It was wonderful to have so many families and friends attend this event.  Over half of the 61 Graduates had studied at St. Andrews for their entire high school education, and out of this group, 17% spent twelve years with us going all the way back to primary school.

Our graduates now have some time to relax while anxiously awaiting the early July release of their external examination results, and then setting off to universities and work placements around the world.   I know you will join me in wishing our graduates all the best with their results, as well as a successful transition to the next stage in their lives.

PTG Parents Meeting

This Wednesday at 8.00am, there will be a PTG meeting held in the Drama Studio where I will update everyone on the progress of our new High School campus, as well as developments to our Primary Campus for the start of next academic year.  I look forward to seeing you there.

Idling Engines in the Car park

The three key stage 2 winners of the poster competition now have their award-winning entries placed around our car park for all to see. I hope everyone will notice these posters, written in English and Thai, and take heed that we do not want cars idling their engines in the school’s car park. This action affects the quality of air that everyone breathes as we make our way out of school in the afternoon. Today’s car air conditioners can rapidly cool their interiors as soon as the engine is turned on, so idling is a useless and hazardous exercise. This week I shall be contacting the owners of several minibuses whose drivers are not complying with this precaution. I’m sure that if we all follow these guidelines, the atmosphere as everyone leaves school will be a lot healthier for all.  Thank you for your cooperation.
