House Music Competition 2017

Auditions - Week beginning 12th Jun
Finals - Sports Hall on 29th June with KS1 and 2 at 8am, and High School at 1pm.

To finish the year on a cultural and musical high, we will be holding the annual St. Andrews House Music Competition, 2017.

This event is open to all students from KS1-High School and we invite students to take part in auditions during music lessons in the week beginning June 12th. Year 10+ students can see a music teacher to arrange a time to audition. The Final will take place on June 29th.

These auditions are a great chance for all students to perform to their peers, develop their confidence in performance and earn themselves some house points. Auditions can be solos or groups and the house points will awarded to each student who gets involved. Please help your child to prepare by encouraging them to perform to you as this will give them a sense of how performing feels.

If your child is singing a song, they will need to use a microphone, so please consider this if your child intends to dance/use actions. In addition, please provide a backing track that does not include the original vocals, so that we are really able to hear your child. This is the same if your child is drumming.

We look forward to hearing lots of students in their auditions and giving out lots of House Points at this crucial time of year!
