Key Stage 2: Forget about your worries and your strife ♪♪

It was a fantastic first week in KS2. Old friends caught up after the long vacation and new friendships were formed, both among current students who are in new classes and new students who are joining us for the new year. Last week was all about everyone getting to know each other and the new school environment, but this week the year groups are settling down to start their new topics. It’s fantastic to see the children’s enthusiasm as the engage in their various areas of study. For example, the Year 4 students in Mr Pete’s class have started exploring Ancient egypt in maths with some pyramid building. Keep your eyes posted in coming newsletters to see more of the exciting things that are happening in KS2.

Both afternoons begin at 4pm in the Sports Hall with a talk from Mr Paul, followed by two Meet the Teacher sessions. These will start at approximately 4.20 pm and 4.50 pm. The teachers will outline the curriculum and some of the expectations in each year group.

Steps with Theera- Update

Last week we trialled Years 5 and 6 using the snack shop at morning break. This was very successful and Steps have a made available a selection of healthy snacks which are appropriately priced for the student market, with most items at 20 Baht. The Years 5 & 6 students will now be able to visit the snack shop every morning break time. Once Steps have established the full menu that will be available for the students, we will share this with the parents.

Later this term we will look into the possibility of opening the snack shop to Year 4.
