Terranova Climbing Frame
As of today, the Terranova Climbing Frame is open for the students to use during playtimes. This is scheduled across the week to ensure the safety of the students. Please note that this facility is not open before or after school.
Sun Safe Playtimes
All students should wear a hat at playtimes and in PE lessons. This could be an official STA hat, of which three different types are available from the school shop, or could be a hat from home. Please make sure that hats are clearly labelled, especially if it’s an STA hat as these often get misplaced and it’s impossible to find the correct owner of they aren’t clearly labelled.
It’s also important that students stay well hydrated. We recommend that the children bring a water bottle with them to school. This will become vital when we have our new integrated water bottle filling and water fountain stations come on line in the KS2 building and Y6 area in October. We ask that you remind your children to regularly bring their water bottle home for a thorough cleaning.
The Jungle Book
Auditions for the KS2 production continue to take place this week. We will update you soon with the final cast list.
Meet the Teacher
Thank you to all of the Y3 & Y4 parents who came along to last week’s session. It was great to see so many of you take this opportunity to meet the teaching teams and find out more about the year groups.
This Thursday, 7th September, is the chance for Y5 & 6 parents to meet their children’s teachers.. The afternoon begins at 4pm in the Sports Hall with a talk from Mr Paul, followed by two Meet the Teacher sessions in each year group. These will start at approximately 4.20 pm and 4.50 pm. The teachers will outline the curriculum and some of the expectations in each year group.
*Please note that these are not individual parent consultations.
