PTG: Fun Day is just around the corner

Fun Day is fast approaching. Rides are booked and plans are in place. Read on for all the information you need to enjoy the day.

fun day

Fun Day 2018 will take place on Saturday 3 February 2018 at the Primary School. The fun starts at 11.00 a.m. and continues right through the day until about 5.30 p.m.

The campus will be filled with exciting rides and fun games for everyone to enjoy. There will be plenty to eat and drink so come along and settle in for the day. Parents can relax and catch up with friends while children can play in a safe environment.

Entry bracelets will be on sale at both School Offices from the beginning of next week. Blue bracelets cost 500 baht and this gives you free access to all the rides. Yellow bracelets cost 100 baht and these allow entry on the the school grounds only. There will be the possibility to upgrade your bracelet from yellow to blue if you would like to. Children under 3 will not be charged.

Some of our senior students will be organizing carnival games in the Year 6 quad to raise money for the various school charities. A small charge will be made to take part in these games but please know that all the money raised goes directly to charity.

One of the opportunities that children aged 8 and above can enjoy is scuba diving provided by Mermaid Dive in Pattaya. Their qualified instructors will be on hand in the main pool. If your child is interested, please make sure they bring a swimsuit and towel.

It is a good idea to bring a swimsuit, towel and change of clothes even if your child is not going to take part in the scuba diving as the foam pits always prove to be a very popular attraction.

There will be a Talent Showcase in the Drama Studio where the winners of the KS1 and KS2 Talent Show will be performing. The Key Stage 1 show will start at 12.00 p.m. and the Key Stage 2 show at 1.30 p.m. The High School bands will be performing on the Library steps. This is a great opportunity to enjoy the musical talent of our High School students. Amazing K, the magician, will be roaming around the campus entertaining everyone throughout the day and will be putting on a show on the Library steps just before the grand prize raffle draw.

Books of raffle tickets will be sent home with Primary students on Friday this week and with High School students next Monday. M ore tickets will be on sale on the day. Prizes include an iPhone 8, iPad mini, Go Pro camera, Beats headphones and a JBL speaker. You’ve got to be in it to win it so buy lots of tickets.

As parking is very limited at the Primary School, we urge you to use alternative forms of transport to get here. To help, the school has secured extra parking space at MaxValu on soi 71 and shuttle buses will be provided from the car park to the Primary School. There will also be a shuttle bus service to and from Gateway (BTS Ekamai).

Fun Day is the only fund-raising event that the PTG holds each year. All money raised from the sale of entry bracelets and raffle tickets will be put back into the school through PTG activities to support the St Andrews community.

If you have any prizes that you could donate for the raffle, please get in touch with us by email at ptgchair@standrews.ac.th. All donations will be gratefully received.

More generally, please remember that the PTG Committee is here to help and if you have any questions or concerns, big or small, please don’t hesitate to get in touch with us. You can contact us by email or alternatively, many of us are in and around school most days and you can stop for a chat.
