TISAC Y3/4 Arts Day
Read about what our 9 representatives got up to on their Arty trip:
We had a wonderful trip to St. Stephen's on Friday for TISAC ARTS DAY! St. Stephen's was more than welcoming and had such strong enthusiasm about the event. The activities provided were well organized, fun and driven towards social engagement, exploration of culture and diversity. The students were able to explore various arts activities that touched on visual arts, dance, music and drama. Some of the activities included: Monster finger puppets, traditional Thai dance, and learning how to play the Angklung and the Kim. There was a large element of diversity in the activities all well as the students participating. I was able to observe the children utilising teamwork, problem solving, using their creative juices, and having fun exploring different facets of Thai culture through dance and music. Students were able to create new blossoming friendships with students from around Bangkok, and had a wonderful experience all together representing St Andrews International School Bangkok. One of our own Year 4 students was awarded a certificate of honour for her dedicated participation in the activities for the day. I'm extremely proud of the the students that participated and I look forward to our next TISAC Arts Day in the future!
