Foundation Stage & Key Stage 1: Celebrating International Day

Activities throughout the week celebrated the rich and diverse cultures we have at St Andrews International School Bangkok...As we head into the flu season, the flu vaccination programme will run again.

It was great to see so many families finding the time to join us on International Day and on other days in the lead up to the big day.  Tuesday’s Highland Games in FS3 was a great success, with the various clans competing in games such as Toss the Haggis, Leaping Puddocks and Flying Scotsman.  A massive thank-you to Ms Isla, the inspiration for the event, and to our KS2 friends who came along to support. They did a great job.

Parents came in to make Som Tam, some others came in to make kites. It was a wonderful week.

Friday had its catwalks, assemblies and showcases, an amazing international lunch and a wide range of activities for the children to enjoy.  Reflecting on last year’s International Day it was hard to imagine that it could be surpassed, but it was!

A massive thank you to everyone who contributed and supported everything that was going on. A fantastic time had by all.

Flu Vaccination

Some of you will remember that last November we ran an Influenza vaccination programme across the school, in conjunction with Samitivej Children’s Hospital. Last year was a particularly bad year for flu, and many families took the opportunity to come along and get everyone vaccinated.

Due to high demand we have decided to run the programme again and Samitivej have given us Friday 16 November as our vaccination date - which is shortly after the release of this year’s vaccine.

This year to simplify the process even more, Samitivej will run the booking process online.  The system will issue you a booking number which you bring with you on the day of the vaccination. (Payments are made on Friday 16th).  Please note that teachers cannot take your child for the vaccination. This has to be done by a parent or guardian.
