PAWS Bangkok Visit the Library

We were delighted to welcome the famous ‘Train Kitty’, who brought Tung Ngern plus Doctors Puk and Tuktan along, to visit us in the Library to receive our donation from the Used Books Sale. The total donation made was 7,220 Baht and the Foundation Stage, KS1 and KS2 children really enjoyed meeting them all and handing over their sparkly envelopes of cash.

Don’t forget that you can continue to support the great work PAWS does all year round. Some ideas are:

  • Maybe a class can ‘adopt’ a cat who needs long-term care at the centre

  • Cats and kittens are always available for adoption at the centre - you can arrange a visit

  • Follow PAWS on Facebook to keep up with news www.facebook.com/pawsbangkok

  • Make a donation

  • Visit their stall at The Farmers Market, Gateway, Ekkamai every 1st and 3rd weekend of the month

Thank you again for your kind support of our Library projects.

Scholastic Book Club Orders

  • 4 x boxes

  • 177 x books

  • 40 x students

  • 29 x classes

Ms Dimple enjoyed sorting through all the books and collating your orders ready for collection and distribution. Thank you again to everyone who made purchases and contributed to our whoppingly good 316.84 GBP in Rewards earned. We hope you all enjoy reading your new books over the coming holidays.

Poster Competition Winners Go on Display

Hoorah - no more big empty wall! We are delighted that our fabulous new posters are now on the wall in the Early Years corner of the Library. Do pop in and see them when you can as they really do look amazing. Congratulations once again to Aidan, Mady, Maeya, Aysha and Nice for their fantastic designs.

Library Closure - 13th/14th December

Please don’t forget that the Primary School Library will close early at 3.00 p.m. on Thursday 13 December and will NOT be open on the following last day of term, Friday 14 December, due to the annual Merit Making ceremony. We apologise for any inconvenience caused and please do plan to return all finished books and choose your new books for the holidays before 3.00 p.m. on Thursday. We are now date stamping books for 7 January onward to cover the extended break. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

May we take this opportunity to wish a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year 2019 to you and your family. We look forward to seeing you all in the Library again next term. Best wishes from Ms Kerry, Ms Dimple and Khun Toi.
