The Primary Book Week was a great experience for one and all. There was certainly lots going on throughout the week to celebrate and encourage reading across the Primary School. This week finished with a wonderful display of book and film characters in our parades on Friday which everyone enjoyed and generated lots of excitement across the whole school community.
Also on Friday was the Great STA Bake Off. We had some fantastic entries showing the designs that were drawn up prior to the event and incorporated photographs of how the cakes were made. It was also a very tasty experience for all who went to see the final cakes that were presented in school and were judged by a large panel of individuals. Congratulations to everyone who got involved in this.
At High School last week we had a wonderful individual and ensemble Instrumental Music concert which was held in the auditorium.. There were some fantastic performances from a wide range of students with an incredibly high standard of musicianship.
IB Art exhibition
The seventh floor of the Blue Building in High School currently houses a fantastic art exhibition. This is the culmination of all the final pieces of artwork that our senior IB students have produced and displayed in their individual exhibitions. There are some fantastic individual pieces and very thought-provoking themes on display. This is a must-see for all the art-lovers in our community.
Congratulations to our Year 13 Art students and their teachers for the exceptionally high quality of this exhibition.

Marlin Mayhem
This coming weekend we look forward to our annual swim meet, the Marlin Mayhem. Our swimmers have been training hard and there has been lots of behind-the-scenes preparation going on to make this a very successful event for everyone involved. This is the biggest Marlin Mayhem to date and I am looking forward to watching all the swimmers who will be competing from all the different international schools that will be participating. There will be lots of fun and exciting competition to enjoy throughout the two-day meet.

End of Term 2 Songkran Festival
The last day of Term 2 is Thursday 5 April. This year we will have a blessing and give alms to Monks from two local temples prior to having a final end of term traditional Songkran Assembly. This will be a great way to finish this incredibly busy term with our school community having the opportunity to come together to join in the merit-making. After lunch, students will be able to take part in the traditional water play which is always a great way to end the term. Please make sure they have a towel and a change of clothes.
