Nord Anglia Parents Survey

Thank you to all those parents who have already completed the NAE Parent Feedback Survey. Each family should have received an email from your child’s class teacher in Primary and the Head of Year in the High School which had a link to this survey. The deadline for submissions is Sunday 18 March 2018.

At the moment we have had about a 30% completion rate, but for us to have some truly sound information on which to base our plans for future developments, we would really like to aim to get at least a 70% response rate. Therefore if you have not yet completed your survey, please dig out the email and link and fill in your answers to the questions, adding your comments so these can be taken into account when we analyse this key data. The results will give us valuable direct feedback about how our school is operating across a wide range of areas.

We can then use this information to help us to plan our developments over the next two years. The time you take to complete the survey is very much appreciated and will help us move forward together and focus on the issues that our community considers are high priorities for us to develop further to meet your expectations.

WoW - Week of Work

St Andrews International School Bangkok wishes to establish a Week of Work (WoW) Programme for our Year 10 students later this year from 4 to 8 June. We are reaching out to our community for possible placements in a wide range of businesses across the city which will allow our Year 10 students to come to work at the business for the week.

We would like to offer as wide a choice as possible to our Year 10 students so that they get the opportunity to experience what it would be like to work in the different professions they may be interested in for their future careers. This will help our young adults to choose a career path and will inspire them to work even harder to gain the best external examination results possible and help them to progress towards their career goals.

Our Careers and Higher Education Counsellor, Mr Bevin Clark, would greatly appreciate hearing from you if you are in a position to offer work placements in your businesses. You can email him directly (bevin.cl@standrews.ac.th), or you can contact Khun Pom in the High School Office (pom.sa@standrews.ac.th).

This programme is a very important development in our High School so please get involved and help us produce a work experience programme that will give each and every one of our Year 10 students an exciting and enriching week of work.

NAE Photographer at Primary School

On Friday of this week (9 March 2018) there will be an NAE photographer visiting our Primary School to document some of the exciting activities taking place across the Primary section. For this Friday only, could you please ensure that your Primary children wear their regular school uniform and not their house t-shirts.

Year 5s Book Week in a Day

As Year 5 will be leaving for their residential trip to Kaeng Krachang on Tuesday 20 March, we didn’t want them to miss out on all the fantastic things going on for Book Week so they will have their very own “Book Week in a Day” on Monday 19 March. They will have the chance to meet the visiting author, David Bedford, as well as take part in a variety of book week activities as well as buddy reading. They will also have their very own Book Character Parade that day and prizes will be awarded for the best costume in each of the Year 5 classes.
