PTG: Let your voice be heard at the final PTG Meeting of this year

The final PTG meeting of this academic year takes place on Wednesday at Primary School. Find out more about how to get involved in our exciting programme of activities for parents next year and look for tickets to the Summer Party on Moodle from Thursday.

PTG Meeting

There will be a PTG meeting on Wednesday this week (23 May 2018) starting at 08.15 a.m. in the Exam Room (7th floor of the R Building) at the Primary School. Mr Paul and Mr Geoff will be on hand to give you an overview of the “Choose Kind” campaign in Primary and the monthly themes in High School, following up on comments made and the last PTG meeting. This will be the last PTG meeting of this academic year so please come along. We look forward to seeing you there.

Parents’ Activities

Looking forward to next year, the PTG would like to expand the activities on offer to parents in an attempt to further strengthen our community. There are certain, well-established clubs running (yoga, zumba, jogging, swimming and our periodic beginners’ Thai classes) but we would like to offer more. If you are a pilates teacher, a personal trainer, have an interest in handicrafts, knitting or would even like to launch a book club, please get in touch with us by email on and we will see how we can move forward with your suggestion. We are lucky to be part of a school that allows us to use their facilities – let’s take advantage of that and continue to build up our community of parents.

PTG Summer Party

As mentioned in previous Newsletters, the PTG Summer Party will be held on Friday, 15 June at Viva Thonglor. Please sign up on Moodle from Thursday. Entry costs 100 baht but this entitles you to a free drink. Food and soft drinks will be provided courtesy of the PTG. This is a great evening and a fantastic way to relax and celebrate the end of another great year at St Andrews International School Bangkok.

Lost and Found Reclaim Day

Lost and Found in Primary will be holding a “Reclaim your lost property” day on Tuesday, 5 June 2018. All the lost property currently in the Lost and Found room will be displayed next to the swimming pool in front of the Records Board for students, parents and teachers to pass by and take whatever belongs to them. Anything that is not claimed on that day, and that has been handed into Lost and Found up to the Songkran holidays will be disposed of. School uniform will go to the second-hand uniform sales and other items will be given to charity. Profits from any sale of second-hand uniform are donated to Baan Dek, one of the school’s official charities and they use the money to buy school uniforms for the children in their care.

As a gentle reminder, the key for the Lost and Found room is readily available in the School Office. Parents are welcome to come and get it at any time and let themselves into the room to collect lost items. Students are welcome to pass by on Tuesday and Thursday mornings when the parent volunteer is there.

PTG Annual General Meeting

The Annual General Meeting of the PTG will be held early in the first term of the next academic year. This is your chance to be reminded of everything we have achieved together and to get involved with everything that goes on. More information will follow.

PTG Facebook Group

Don’t forget we have a very lively Facebook page where you can keep up with everything that is going on at school but also you can use it as a means to get in touch with other people. This is just one of the many ways that the PTG is working to strengthen our school community.

As always, please don’t hesitate to get in touch with us if you have any suggestions, questions or concerns. The easiest way to reach us is by email on or many of us are around in the mornings both at Primary and High School and you are welcome to have a chat at any time.
