High School Library: Paper Wings competition winners announced

The Simon Lawrence Library is pleased to announce the winners of the Paper Wings Contest.

Paper Wings competition winners

As a result of a tough competition, two winners can choose their favorite book to fill in our library bookshelves! Congratulations to Sahil (Y11) and Poom (Y7) who battled some tough competition to win the Paper Wings Competition. More than 50 participants tried to make their unique paper airplane fly to the farthest reaches in the library. There were several planes that came very close to winning. Some entries had to unfortunately be disqualified because they landed outside of the competition area and one plane actually hit the office window and had to be disqualified.  Above all, it was a lot of fun and everyone who took part had a great time in what was the final Library event for this year. Looking forward to next year, we are already planning lots of Library events but we always welcome your ideas.

New Non-Fiction Books

New Non-Fiction Books

The Simon Lawrence Library is pleased to present our new non-fiction books. Rather than fiction created from imagination, non-fiction books refer to literature based on facts and reality and are very useful for research on specific topics, e.g., psychology, religion, business, economics, cooking, health, nature, animals, languages, travel, art, music, history, geography, science, and technology. Please  feel free to come to the library and check if there are some books you would like to read with regard to your favorite topics or your research.
