As expected, the Empowerment Art Exhibition, that ran last week in the music quad, was a roaring success with lots of visitors coming to the opening. Parents and teachers met the artists and were shown the exhibition, that featured 2 and 3D multi-media pieces. It was a lovely way to showcase some of the work that has gone on this year with Ms Rachel.
The Reception show last week was a real extravaganza! The singing, dancing and acting was amazing and it was hard to believe that the stars of the show were only 4 and 5 years old. Quite how the children remembered everything they had to do and say, I have no idea. It was a very slick performance indeed. Many thanks to the teachers and TAs for their direction and costume design and to Ms Cherry and Ms Pepa for their input on the dance - Well done Reception for an excellent job.
Another fantastic showcase last week was the ECA Arts Performances which gave the children the opportunity to show off all they had learned in their Dance and Music ECAs. There was Ballet and Tap, Music Tech, Recorders and Mini-Singers to name but a few. The children have the opportunity to sign up for such a rich variety of Arts ECAs and certainly seem to enjoy performing too.
Reports on Moodle
At the end of last week the end of year reports for Foundation Stage were available to parents via Moodle. You are now able to view the KS1 Reports via the Parent Portal or Moodle. We are moving away from printing a hard copy for everyone, but if you need a hard copy, signed by the teacher, if you contact the primary school office they will be able to help you with that. As the reports are so detailed we don’t offer consultations this term, but please feel free to contact the teachers this week if you need to discuss your child’s report.
Early Finish on Friday
As usual, we will finish school a little earlier than usual on Friday, with parents being able to pick up children from 1pm. School buses will run shortly after 1pm.
If you arrive to pick up your child before lunch or before 1pm, please make sure to let their own teacher or TA know that you are taking them.
All that remains is to wish everyone a safe and happy holiday and we look forward to seeing all returning families in AuguSt For those of you who are moving on we wish you good luck for the future and hope that you will come and visit us when you are next in Bangkok.
Thank you for all of your support this year.
Best wishes from all the staff of Foundation Stage and KS1!
