Get to know key staff in the PE Department and discover the vast range of sporting activities open to all at High School in Term 1 and throughout the year.

20818 HS Sport 1

Welcome to our Sports Programme. Across the school, we offer an extensive range of activities before school, after school, at the weekend and in the holidays. Some of this is aimed at competitive, representative sport, whilst other options are aimed at skill development and recreational participation.

Whilst we have a well-established training programme, we also provide inclusive opportunities for those who wish to be active across a range of sports & activities as broad as football, synchronised swimming and yoga. We hope your child will find something that suits them.

20818 HS Sport 2

We look forward to our first full year in BISAC (Bangkok International Schools Athletic Conference) as well as a range of sports events both here at STA and out on the road regionally and internationally.

We will also expand our training to include some new squads in our over-subscribed sports. Whilst our Flames will refer to our first teams, we’ll also now have some Blaze teams who will train and have some competition to look forward to.

Finally, may I introduce Miss Anna, who will teach PE as well as coach Rugby, Football and Track; K. Pair, who students will meet teaching and coaching tennis and who will assist Mr. Adam running our growing Flames Tennis Programme; and Mr. Leo, who will be joining our busy Basketball Programme, as well as teaching PE.

Parent Activities

We actively encourage our amazing parent body to be involved with us and keep fit. This sends a wonderful message to our students about leading healthy, active lifestyles both as children and as adults.

We offer organised sessions covering a range of sports and activities at school, using our facilities. These include volleyball, yoga, fitness, swimming, running, zumba, tennis. Some of these are run by our own staff and others are run by external staff.

Details about these will be sent to you and sign-ups are on Moodle, just as for ECAs. Key personnel will be Ann, who has children at High School and will be the parent liaison for this; and Miss Aanchal, in the High School Office (Front Desk)

We love seeing parents work out during the day on campus - please come and join our active social circle.

(PS Volleyball is represented by our own Spicey Spikers, who even play against our girl’s team each term. Having lost some players last term, they’re now looking for new members. No need to be experienced - it’s all a bit of fun! Please contact Miss Jo ( First session is at HS tomorrow, 21 August at 2.45pm).
