Fun Day

PTG: Fun Day ready for launch

After much anticipation and preparation, Fun Day has finally arrived. Read on for important information about the day as well as details of a “Coffee and Chat” session at High School on Monday 4 February.

Fun Day 2019

Well, it’s finally arrived. Fun Day 2019 takes place this coming Saturday, 2 February 2019. The fun starts at 11.00 a.m. and doesn’t stop until about 6.00 p.m. Planning for Fun Day starts back in September and each year we try to make the event bigger and better than the year before. The old favourites will be there along with some new attractions. We have added an indoor dining area in the G block common area. The ever popular Rose Cafe will be run by some of our senior students and you will be able to find it in the old Bei Otto shop in the main canteen area. This is a great place to grab a great cup of coffee and slice of homemade cake and watch the fun and games in the Y6 Quad. The White Elephant stall will again be a feature of Fun Day, come and rummage and pick up a great bargain or two. Proceeds from the White Elephant stall will be given to charity. Please don’t forget to sign up for diving in the main pool, run by qualified instructors from Mermaid Diving in Pattaya. And please do bring a swimsuit, towel and change of clothes because even if your children don’t want to try out the diving, there are plenty of other opportunities to get wet. We will have a zumba demonstration in the Y6 Quad between 3.30 and 4.00. Amazing K the magician will be around the campus all day baffling us with his tricks and he will do a full show for us at 4.00 p.m. in the Y6 Quad. Right after that we will draw the top 5 prizes in the Grand Raffle.

Entry bracelets are on sale in both School Offices. Blue bracelets priced 500 baht, allow free access to all the major attractions. Yellow bracelets, priced 100 baht, allow access to the school grounds. Children under 3 will not be charge entry. Raffle tickets are also available. Books were sent home with Primary children last week and will be sent home with High School students this week. Please sell as many as you can. We have some great prizes up for grabs.

Parking is always a challenge and we urge you to use the parking at MaxValu on Sukhumvit soi 71 which has a shuttle bus service to the Primary campus or alternatively come by sky train and use the shuttle bus service from Gateway (BTS Ekamai). You can also use the new parking facility at Suk 71 near soi 22 which is a very short walk to the Primary School.

Coffee and chat

Right after Fun Day, on Monday 4 February, the PTG would like to invite you for a cup of coffee and a chat at the High School coffee shop from 07.45 - 8.30 a.m . Axel, along with a couple of other Committee members will be there for you to have a chat and raise any issues or concerns in an informal setting. We are constantly trying to improve communication so if you have anything to discuss, please do come along. We will also be launching the same thing at Primary School very soon.

Community event - Lunar Festival

The High School Language Department would like to invite our school community to celebrate the Lunar Festival on Friday, 1 February 2019. The Lunar festival is celebrated worldwide including here in Thailand. You are welcome to come and watch the special Dragon Dance at break time in the Atrium.
