Primary School Library: Announcing Librarian Kitty

The Design Challenge winners had their vision realised this week with the introduction of our new library mascot … and the Bangkok Book Awards 2020 is now LIVE!

Design Challenge - Design a New Book Return/ Drop

Our winning entry has now been chosen and we are pleased to introduce our new mascot, ‘Librarian Kitty’ which was beautifully designed by Stephanie and Prasanna in Year 3S. Miss Annie, our Marketing Manager, took their design through several stages and we now have our final artwork which will be used to create some great stickers and our very own ‘Librarian Kitty’ model which we hope to have installed for the start of next half term. We can’t wait!

The girls chose colourful sticker books as their prizes and all the entrants and shortlisted entries have been duly rewarded with house points. A BIG thank you to everyone for taking part. We had 51 entries altogether and really did have a lot of wonderful and creative ideas.

The Bangkok Book Awards

This year’s great selection of books is now on display and available to borrow in the St Andrews International School Bangkok library. We are also running our Reading Challenge where children collect stickers for each book they read and, when they have read six books from any of the three categories, they will receive a certificate. Let’s start reading right away and try to read ALL eighteen books by the time voting opens March 2020!
