The Conference drew delegates not only from Bangkok but also from the whole of SE Asia. There was in excess of 60 delegates attending each day and the feedback from the event was outstanding. Kym was able to take a private tour of our campus, and was very impressed with not only the St Andrews learning environment but the quality of the provision offered to the children and the enthusiasm of its teachers.
Thanks must go to Ms Meg for coordinating the event but also to Khun Annie and her team, and to Estates for all their hard work in the lead up to and during the event. Already there is discussion as to when the next one will be!
Changes to the Mercy Centre Christmas Collection
Families who have been with us a while will know that each year at around this time we do a collection for the Human Development Foundation - Mercy Centre.
In the past we have always collected toys for the children but in recent years they have had more and more schools and organisations collecting these. This year we called and asked what it was they needed us to contribute to the community. The contact at the Mercy Centre was pleased that we had called and explained that what they wanted from us was the everyday items listed below:
-
UHT Milk - small boxes
-
Dry food
-
Glass noodles
-
Sauces for cooking
NOTE: There is no need for rice at the moment as they have a large supply
In addition, they are also requesting:
There is no need to wrap any of these items, but there will be boxes places in all of the Foundation Stage and KS1 areas. Help us to explain to your children why we are collecting these things and even if they are not able to go shopping with you to buy the items, please let them put them into the collection box themselves.
