High School Music: Showtime

The weekend was very busy for some of our young musicians.

Friday evening the Year 10 percussion ensemble performed various pieces and compositions at ‘The Friday Game’ - an event which bought together music, dance and PE. The percussion group created a very dynamic and rousing atmosphere to build up the tension at the sporting event.

On Saturday, three of the school Rock Bands travelled to Brighton College to attend this year's TISAC Battle of the Bands. It was a very tough competition with over 20 bands fighting for the title.

The St Andrews bands gave fantastic performances but just missed out winning this years title. Well done to The Shoelaces, Triple Che and Part Time.
