Staff at the Simon Lawrence Library requests all of St Andrews International School Bangkok to help locate and return any missing books by the end of term.

Missing Library Books

At this time of year, the Simon Lawrence Library engages the entire St Andrews International School Bangkok with the task of locating all missing library books. The missing books have most likely been misplaced at school or at home, so please take a careful look. The Simon Lawrence Library has started displaying this year’s most wanted books on our display wall next to the library entrance door. When you find and return a book on the list to the library, you will be rewarded with a house point. We hope all the missing books will be back in our library again soon.

It’s time for our “Library Survey”

As we move towards the end of this academic year, we are reminded how special this school year has been for the Simon Lawrence Library as well as all students, parents, and teachers. We are always very appreciative of all the support that the STA community provided. At this time, we would like to ask all HS students and teachers to complete a survey form in order for us to offer better service next school year. This is an anonymous survey, which means we do not collect any information except your answers and feedback. Please find and fill in the form sent to your school email address last Friday 7 June 2019. Based on all of the responses to the questions on the survey, the library team will be able to establish action plans for next school year.  It will be greatly appreciated if you can continue to support us to make our library a resourceful and helpful place.

Self Checkout Counter: Temporary Closure

As we have set up new loan periods for all library materials during the summer break, the iPods and touchscreen monitor at the self checkout counter are not available temporarily. If you wish to borrow books from the library this week, please bring them to the library staff who are pleased to help you check them out. As we have already announced, you will be able to borrow books from 17 June 2019.

Year End Book Return

As the end of the school year is fast approaching, it is time to call for all books to be returned to the Library and the deadline for returning all books is this Friday, 14 June, 2019 except for some English class readers. Therefore, please take a good look around at home for any overdue library books and do not forget to return your books to the Library by the deadline. If you feel you need more time to read them, you will be able to renew and keep them during the summer break with assistance from the Library staff as from 17 June, 2019. Should you have any questions or concerns about your books, please feel free to contact us directly.
