Baan Luuk Rak Children’s Home

We are donating the money raised this week together with the March total to Baan Luuk Rak children’s home  in Khon Kaen in support of our Year 12 students at the High School who have been on site this week working with the children as part of  their Community and Services curriculum. They have enjoyed teaching the children through lessons and activities which they designed and made themselves. Please find more information here.

Primary School Library Summer Reading Challenge 2019

Our Summer Reading Challenge will launch on 17 June* and we hope you have received an email with all the details. Children who would like to take part will be able to borrow a maximum of 3 books over the holiday ONLY on individual cleared accounts. Please note there will be no summer borrowing on family accounts.

* Launch date changed from 24 June to 17 June

We are pleased to allow our current Year 6 students who are moving up to the High School to participate in the Summer Reading Challenge this year and books can be returned to the High School Library in August if it is not possible for you to get into the Primary School Library. Our thanks go to Mr DK and Khun Baiyok for their support with this.

We hope lots of children will join the challenge. We had 134 entries last time and we really would like to beat that in 2019.

All children taking part will receive a minimum of 2 house points to start off the new school year.

Summer Closing - 4.00 p.m. on Monday 24 June

The Primary School Library will be undergoing some refurbishment work over the summer holidays (which we are rather excited about!) and so we will be closing at 4.00 p.m. on Monday 24 June to allow us to pack and store the books safely before the teachers break for the holiday and the contractors move in.

Please come and choose your books for reading over the holidays AND to take part in the Summer Reading Challenge before then. There will be no access to the Library on Tuesday and Wednesday, although we will place a basket outside for any late returns. Thank you for your support and understanding.

  • Library will close at 4.00 p.m. on 24 June
