On Wednesday 19 June we held EXPO 2019, a retrospective of student art and photography work from the past year. The work on display represented the diverse talents of our young artists and photographers. Visitors to the exhibition were amazed by the range of work that included video, textiles and fashion, drawing and painting, and sculptural installation. One of the favourites of the exhibition was the bamboo painting installation hanging in the Atrium. A collaboration by Year 8 students, the work consisted of nearly 200 pieces of bamboo, painted with patterns derived from the study of aboriginal Australian art forms. Also celebrated in the Atrium were two wall hangings by Year 7 students. Each section of the wallhanging comprised of nearly 100 square batik designs, developed from investigations into various habitats of the world. An enormous congratulations to our students for their creative determination this year.
