After completion of an intense 8 week swimming programme, carried out by the PE department along with the assistance of swimming coaches from Dragonfire, the children represented their Houses in an action-packed morning in the pool.
Children selected two strokes to compete individually, with some phenomenal displays of technique and speed as they competed for top spot against their opposing Houses.
After all individual races were performed; the scores were extremely tight heading into the final events. The freestyle relay races held more significance than ever and a competitive finale led to an unbelievably close final score board.
Ultimately it was the Green House that emerged victorious as they collected a staggering 181 point to fend off stiff competition from the opposing Houses. Red and Yellow Houses both finished joint 2nd, only 5 points behind on 176 points with the Blue House in 3rd positon on 168 points. House captains Hamza Kasmani and Isabel Grob-Fitzgibbon hoisted the trophy into the air to rapturous applause from fellow housemates, competitors, staff and supporters.
Once again we would like to thank the BSB Sanlitun parents who turned out in their numbers to support the children who certainly made a splash in the Swimming Gala.
