Chinese Update

  • Nursery Chinese lesson

Nursery children learned a song about the traffic light. They enjoyed singing the song with some movements and also got to learn some basic traffic rules through this song.

Reception children learned about furniture. They then made a furniture book and tried their best to retell the story in this book.

In Year 2 ‘Great Wall’ and Tian’anmen groups, the children challenged themselves to learn to read more Chinese characters. They even made their own book of Chinese characters and were certainly so proud of it!

Y5 Lama Temple group learned an ancient Chinese story ‘Jīng Gōng Zhī Niǎo’ (惊弓之鸟). The Children were all impressed by Geng Lei, who shot the bird down without an arrow. They tried hard to retell the story in a very traditional Chinese way of storytelling – ‘Píng Shū’ (评书).
