The great atmosphere and the high number of supporters helped our girls’ and boys’ A teams fly straight into the finals, playing for the championship trophies. After a game full of drama against ICS Madrid, our girls became second overall. It is ironic that we had beaten this team in a gripping three-set match the day before. The boys won their final match against Bratislava with beautiful play and defended their championship title for the second time in a row. Being hosts of the tournament, we had the privilege to invite a local school’s U19 volleyball boys’ team to attend on day 1 of the tournament. They had a great time and this event has undoubtedly helped these players to get experience and be prepared for the next volleyball season in 2019. The Sportsmanship Award this year was awarded to our girls’ team, based on referees votes, a clear indication of the high level of integrity of all our players and the team spirit these girls showed.

From January, the U19 Volleyball teams will have off-season training. They will play some friendly matches and get ready for next year.

Congratulations to all players and a big thank you to all parent supporters, staff and students who made this event such a success and our teams achieve the great results.

Go WOLVES!
