NAESA U19 Football Tournament

On Friday 11th – Saturday 12th October, BISB hosted this year’s first NAESA (Nord Anglia European Sports Association) event, U19 Girls and Boys Football Tournament, with eleven teams from six European NAE schools taking part. The teams were blessed with fantastic weather on both days and this undoubtedly contributed to the excellent atmosphere surrounding the event. In addition to the regular trophies, the top three teams in both groups were presented with medals. There were also special awards, a specifically designed T-shirt for all participants and an evening social with a lot of pizza and some quizzes which helped contribute to a very memorable weekend at our school.

BISB WOLVES Girls came 2nd after a thrilling penalty shootout against Bratislava, Bratislava winning on sudden death.

BISB WOLVES Boys came 4th in the bronze game after drawing with Bratislava in the allotted time, but losing on penalties.

WOLVES played with pride, passion and integrity and it was a pleasure to watch every minute of their performances over the course of the two days. Congratulations goes to all players, their coaches and parent supporters, the support staff at BISB and everyone from the P.E. department.
