On Tuesday, Year 4 were fortunate to welcome Anita Ugyan, the first Hungarian woman to summit Mount Everest. Anita spoke to the students about her real life experiences climbing a number of the world’s highest mountains. The talk helped give the students more insight into how dedicated you need to be for such a quest. She engaged the children and encouraged them to follow their interests, whatever they may be. Anita’s visit tied in with the Year 4 topic, Adventurers and Explorers, as well as adventure stories in English.
