Year 1 Looking at the Life Cycle of Dandelions

Last week as part of the Science topic of Spring the Year 1 children looked at the life cycle of a dandelion from flower to seed head.

The students created some beautiful artwork following their observations.

Did you know that dandelion seeds can travel for 8km before reaching the ground?
They are actually flowers, not weeds.
They are a highly nutritious plant and are full of vitamins and minerals.
