Team sports are offered over the course of the year including football, basketball, volleyball, tag-rugby and cricket.

In addition to friendly matches with other local and regional teams and schools, our teams compete in the Budapest Cup run by four international schools in Budapest, in the Nord Anglia Education Sports Tournaments and the Danube Valley Athletics Conference (DVAC) competitions in varying locations around Europe.

Students are encouraged to play both competitively and for fun; there is no obligation to enter the tournaments.

If a student wishes to represent BISB at the Nord Anglia Education (NAE) or the Danube Valley Athletic Conference (DVAC) tournaments, festivals or inter-school fixtures, the BISB Selection Criteria will be applied as part of the team selection process.

BISB Secondary Interhouse Sport Events

All Secondary Inter-house tournaments are organised in Physical Education lesson time. This enables every child to attend these sports events as a player, as an official or as a leader.
