Personal Assistant to Principal

University of Pécs, Hungary - Teacher of German ethnic language and literature – specialised training for professional German language (MA, full-time education)
University of Pécs, Hungary - Slavic Studies (BA, full-time education, Russian specialised language education)

Ildi joined BISB in January 2018 as the PA to our previous Principal, Mr Dyer. Since July 2021, she has been the PA to Mr Ben Turner. Ildi is a graduate of German and Russian languages. After her university graduation in 2010, she started work at the European Commission Youth in Action Programme as a European Voluntary Service (EVS) coordinator and mentor until 2016. During this time she planned and instigated several successful EVS projects, liaising with more than 150 volunteers in both short and long-term projects. She also taught the Hungarian language to foreign volunteers.

One of her highlights was her own experience in 2011, where she spent six weeks in Tanzania as a volunteer as part of an EVS project. Between 2010-2014, Ildi worked as a German language teacher in a private language school, where she taught using her own techniques combined with special technology. At BISB, Ildi is involved in several fields of school life. Ildi supports our principal’s daily job and helps to coordinate new staff every year. She also leads the Tanzania Project, with which she has been involved since 2019.

In her free time, Ildi plays the flute, loves to travel as much as possible and is an active volunteer and representative of the charity organization Budapest Bike Maffia.
