Rebecca Thomas

Rebecca Thomas

Early Years Teacher

Ms Thomas graduated with a BA(Hons) in English with Music from Bath Spa University. In 2004 she spent three months volunteering in Kenya, planting trees in the foothills of Mount Kenya and teaching at a school in Nairobi. Ms Thomas completed a PGCE specialising in early years education at The University of Wales, Aberystwyth, and began her teaching career in the UK. During her first four years of teaching, she worked as a Year 1 teacher in her hometown of Hereford. In 2011 she took up the position of Discovery/Pre-Kindergarten teacher in the Reggio Emilia inspired Early Childhood Centre at the United Nations International School, Hanoi. Ms Thomas is also very experienced in inquiry-based learning. 

Ms Thomas loves to travel, learning about different cultures and experiencing local foods. She enjoys being outdoors, walking, cycling and taking pictures with her camera. In her free time she also loves practicing yoga and going to Zumba class. She moved to Budapest, after three years in Vietnam so that she could be closer to her family.
