Mr Catalinac began his teaching career as a qualified Early Years teacher in New Zealand, his country of origin. He travelled abroad for a time before teaching in the UK for two years. After returning to New Zealand, he completed his Primary Teaching Diploma and a BEd at Massey University. Mr Catalinac then moved to Hungary to be with his wife, Mariann. He has been a teacher at the British International School Budapest since 2000.
Mr Catalinac lives just outside of Budapest with his wife and two boys. Some of his interests include gardening, travelling and cooking. He enjoys teaching and feels privileged working with children. Although Mr Catalinac has lived in Hungary for some time now, he wants to take Hungarian lessons again and become more confident and fluent with the local language.
