Luke Pettett

Luke Pettett

Head of Science

BEng Mechanical Engineering, University of Leeds

PGCE Secondary Science, University of Leeds

Luke began teaching in Leeds in 2003 and worked in two large comprehensive schools. He is passionate about Science education and supporting and developing colleagues, and earned Advanced Skills Teacher status in 2011. Luke’s first international post was in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia  He taught there for three years, leading  KS3 Science.

Luke believes that Science education is fundamentally important to equipping young people with the skills they need to be successful in a changing world, and also to ensure that they are able to take an active part in developing solutions to many of the challenges they faces.

Mr Pettett very much enjoys travelling, cycling, hiking and camping.
