Mark Randall

Secondary Drama Teacher

BA (Hons) Theatre and Performance, University of Plymouth

PGCE Secondary Drama, Aberystwyth University

Mark started his teaching career in 2009 at a school in Hampshire, England. After three years, he made the brave move to international teaching. He was offered a job opportunity in Brunei. During his three years there, he was Head of Drama and IGCSE Pastoral Coordinator. The next adventure was Beijing as the IB Coordinator for Theatre and Mentoring Coordinator. Mark’s undertook significant professional development training with the Royal Shakespeare Company in September 2017 and he moved to BISB in 2018.

Mark is committed to inspiring students and passing on his passion for Drama and Theatre. Not only does he feel strongly about his subject and wants students to experience the same enthusiasm that he does, he also has a strong connection with the pastoral side of school. He feels that students’ well-being is just as important as academic achievement.

In his spare time, Mark enjoys running. One of his biggest achievements in life was completing the half marathon on the Great Wall of China. As a Drama Teacher, he also has a huge love for the theatre and frequently likes to watch plays and musicals.
