MSc Physical Education and Sport Pedagogy, Birmingham University

BSc Sport Science and Management, Nottingham Trent University

Shane has accrued a wealth of teaching experience whilst working in high performing British and International Schools. Throughout his career he has held various pastoral leadership positions including Head of Year and Director of Key Stage 4. During his time in Cornwall, Shane taught in a school with a specialist international programme. It was here that he was able to lead academic trips to some of the most prestigious schools in the world, in countries such as Australia, Thailand and Canada. Prior to joining BISB, Shane worked in another international school where he held the position of Head of House and he was heavily involved in the organisation of inter-house sports tournaments.

Shane is a passionate and ambitious educator who believes in an approach that is both holistic and student-centred. He is keen to ensure that all of the students he teaches are able to recognise and appreciate the mental and physical benefits that an active lifestyle provides them.

Shane loves to play volleyball, take part in running events and when weather permits, he also enjoys a spot of stand-up paddle boarding! As well as being a keen sportsperson, Shane is also an avid bass guitarist who has played semi-professionally in the past at a number of high-profile events and festivals.
