On Tuesday, Madinat Khalifa Year 4 completed their unit on 'Active Earth' by erupting the volcanoes they had made during the Entry Point. Do you know how to make a volcano erupt? Well, by putting bicarbonate soda and vinegar into the volcano, a chemical reaction occurred resulting in the froth overflowing. By placing yellow and red food colouring in, it gave the effect of lava. Children’s and parents whooped with delight as their constructions finally erupted!

There was also the chance to showcase some learning, with newspaper reports and slam poetry performed in front of parents. Thank you to all parents for coming in- it was an explosive afternoon.
