Madinat Khalifa Primary Headlines | Monday, 16 December 2019 Weekly news from Madinat Khalifa Primary Campus by Mr Jimmy Frawley, Head of Madinat Khalifa Primary.

Dear Parents,

On Thursday the MK Primary school held their Qatar National Day celebrations.

It started with a fantastic assembly led by our Arabic students. Students from Years 1 to 6 showcased the best of Qatar through dances, songs and presentations. It was wonderful to see the students and staff adorned in traditional dress or the colours of Qatar, as well many flags being waved with gusto. Thank you to the many parents who attended the celebration and for the many traditional foods that students enjoyed sampling. Many thanks to Mrs Somaia and Mrs Sahar for their hard work ensuring this was a success.

This event really epitomised many of the school’s strengths. The opportunities for students to take risks in a safe and supportive environment, the need to collaborate with others to be successful and demonstrating great resilience when things don’t run perfectly to plan. I left the celebration with a great sense of pride in our students, teachers and community as a whole.

Hot off the Press!

The success of the MK Primary Young Innovators who won the prestigious Qatar Environment and Research Institute Young Innovators Award is being reported widely in the local media. It is great that this committed group of students are receiving much deserved praise from the wider Qatar community. If you’d like to read these articles please use the links below.
