Themaid News | Monday, 19 August 2019

We would like to take this opportunity to wish you a very warm welcome to the start of our new year of learning at Compass International School, Themaid.

Whether you are new to Compass or returning after the summer break, to join our new campus, we would like to make you familiar with the arrangements for arrival on Sunday 25th August 2019.

At 7.30am, there will be a welcome presentation from the Executive Principal, Mr Paul Holyome. Parents and students are invited to attend.

Thereafter, teachers will take primary students and parents to the classroom for a welcome presentation. Parents are invited to visit the class at that time to meet the teacher and have a welcome meeting to find out specific details and expectations for the Year Group.

Secondary students will go to class with their form tutors. Parents are welcome to stay to meet the new leadership team and share some light refreshments. There will be an opportunity to have a tour of the campus and facilities at this time.

Children should wear full school uniform to school. Uniform is available from Uniform Mart in Gharaffa, however we will endeavour to have a pop up shop available during the week. Details of the day and time will be sent to you. The new canteen facility will be operational on the first day of term. Further details of the arrangements will be sent in a separate letter.

School finishes at 13:20 for Early Years and 13:30 for the rest of the school. Early Years and Primary students will be dismissed directly from class and must be collected by an adult. Further information about Early Years can be found in our Handbook here.

Secondary students will exit via the side door near the canteen and should be collected promptly.

If you have registered your child for the Tri Logistics bus service, they will be collected by the Bus Monitor. Further details about the private bus service are available from our Admissions Officer, Olivia Villanueva.

We are really looking forward to welcoming you and your family to Themaid Campus and hope that you enjoy being part of our exciting learning community.

Yours sincerely,

Mrs. Ann Djedid
