WINDERMERE, FL, July 11, 2018 – Windermere Preparatory School (WPS) students have once again achieved strong results in the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme for the 2017/18 academic school year. The IB Diploma pass rate for the WPS class of 2018 was 92%, well above the IB global average of 78.4%.  This result continues the tradition of success that the WPS IB Programme has enjoyed over the last seven years.

Dr. Tom Marcy, Headmaster at Windermere Preparatory School, noted that, “We employ an open access approach at WPS with respect to our students undertaking the challenge of the IB Diploma Programme. Consistent with the “Be Ambitious” credo of Nord Anglia Education, we provide the support and encouragement to any student who wishes to partake in this two-year, gold standard High School curriculum offering. We are exceptionally proud that our students achieved a 92% pass rate for 2018, and have continued the tradition of annually outperforming the global average pass rate for the IB Diploma by double digits.”

Andy Puttock, Education Director of Nord Anglia Education, further stated, “I am delighted by the outstanding IB diploma results achieved by our students this year. This excellent outcome is not only due to their efforts, but also the incredible hard work put in by the school’s teachers throughout the year to ensure our children experience the best in learning.”
