21st Century Teaching & Learning allows students to explore, travel, and discover, all from the seats in our Windermere Prep classrooms. Yet, at times, we are presented with opportunities to immerse ourselves in learning off-campus. Coming soon, our 7th graders travel to Crystal Springs, set in a 525-acre classroom, to experience environmental Florida, studying the aquifer, conducting biodiversity surveys, and learning in one of life’s most valuable classroom. Also in November, our Model UN representatives travel to Monterrey, Mexico to participate in ISRMUN, a United Stations simulation involving over 30 schools from across the world, coming together to discuss global issues and propose viable solutions. We wish you well, travelers! Finally, our 7th & 8th graders may register for their “Discover Florida” and “Go West” Laker Adventures by November 11th. Check out grade-level field trips here. ~ Mary Beth Davies, Middle School Director
