Second and Third Grade Students Coding

The first semester of the new Coding class taught by Mr. Masem is coming to a close for second and third grade students. They have been learning how to write lines of code to control both virtual constructs as well as a variety of physical robots using the iterative design process to code step-by-step directions, run their programs, and constantly look to debug issues. This December students are getting creative with their programming and putting their robots to use: some are coding their Root robot to write names or draw designs, others are composing short pieces of music as their Dash robot plays the xylophone, while still others have turned their robots into a catapult. ~ Melissa Fagan, Lower School Director
